When I originally wrote this article in 2018, there were not many Pikler Triangles being made commercially. However, since then, that has changed, and the comment section below and my email list proves that Pikler Triangles are becoming increasingly popular.
THATS AMAZING because I love having toys in my home that encourage play, creativity and don’t make any noise. Today, you can find Pikler Triangles around the world, and I’ve updated this post (2019) with brands that have reached out to me, or you’ve left in the comment section.
Having made one myself, I think it’s totally worth it to just go out and buy a Pikler Triangle? Why? because the quality of work and craftsmanship that I’ve seen in commercial products is incredible and saves the headache. Yes, they are expensive but they are worth it. It’s a toy that will last your child from 6months to 3-4 years and be passed on to another child. These aren’t plastic toys that die and look antiquated, this is classic play at it’s finest.
Is it worth to spend $200-500 on a toy your child climb, yes.
Yes it is. If you have the funds, it is. If it’s scrapping pennies, then don’t, but we all come from different financial situations. I would do it again. Take it from the mama who ordered a Brain Rich Play Gym and now has Kimboo Wobble Board. These toys are worth it. I never regret it.
Where can I buy a Pikler Triangle?
Some of these links are affiliate links! That means there is a tracking code that earns commission back to me. This is no extra cost to you.
Canada – Kimboo is a Made in Canada Pikler Triangle that even collapses and comes PRE ASSEMBLED. This company is on a mission to encourage kids to play and keep them off screens. We received a balance board from them and love the quality. I would definitely recommend this company to Canadians. For $269 with free shipping, the Pikler Triangle is a great price point for Canadian Consumers.
United States – Lily & River Little Climber.
Etsy – I’m going to link a general Etsy link because there are so many brands coming and going. Some of the brands in the comment section I could no longer find, and some new ones I did. You can shop Etsy to find local or same country creators, you can read all the reviews, and message them directly to find a Triangle that works for you.
These are some Etsy Companies that others have loved in my Facebook Communities and IG Friends
- ModernImaginationCo – based out of Squamish, BC, Modern Imagination Co is a hand crafted wooden toy company making Pikler Triangles, stacking Rainbows, and more toys and activities
- WoodForYourHome – based out of Belarus, Wood For Your Home makes handmade toys with colour. The Happy Climber and Climbing Arches are big hits in many of my online communities.
- LilyAnd River – Also their website is above, but this company is based out of Arizona, United States and a fan favourite in my cloth diaper communities.
Here in Prince George, we have a growing group of carpenters and skilled women who are making beautiful children’s toys. For example, Cambium Furniture and Decor has made them for a local childcare facility. You can ask locally and see if someone will do it, or has done it, or is up to the task. You might be surprised at what is available and who might be up for the task. This is also a great way to connect with your community and maybe find one second hand.
If you know of someone who makes Pikler Triangles or climbing triangles for kids, feel free to share with the world below. Love to hear from you.
