This is my very last set of matching newborn/one-size cloth diapers! This Blueberry exclusive to LagoonBaby is the only set I have yet to showoff. I figured, before we pack up our one-size diapers for the Flats and Hand washing Challenge beginning tonight/tomorrow, this was our golden opportunity.

Little Man is rocking a Blueberry exclusive Simplex – LagoonBaby (Canada) or Diaper Junction (USA) – and Little Miss a Newborn Simplex – Lagoon Baby (Canada) or Diaper Junction (USA). Moose Be Dreaming print is a Blueberry exclusive to LagoonBaby and is sold out. But you can find other awesome Blueberry prints and solids at the above affiliate links <3
Moose be Dreaming is a favourite Blueberry exclusive of mine. I love how it showcases much of what I represent about my new life in Northern British Columbia (having been raised in the Vancouver area). Who doesn’t love moose?
I love how awkward they look. Just like me.
Moose was the topic of conversation this morning on our Mother’s Day Hike at a Eskers Provincial Park. I have wanted to explore for weeks, but terrified todo it on my own. My husband expressed much concern we’d find a moose on the trail. We didn’t. We saw a few birds, but mostly listened to the branches creek.
That’s all I wanted for Mother’s Day. I wanted to get out and go for a hike with my family. I wanted my husband off his cell phone, and I wanted to be somewhere that would make me happy (and Walter!).
I haven’t been overly thrilled about motherhood. The past 22 months have been the hardest journey of my life, and I don’t think the light is anywhere near. I’m working on it, but in the meanwhile, I’m not the biggest fan of motherhood. As such, while my babies are all sleeping, I’m feeling a little down as I wished I loved being a mom.
How was your mothers day? Did you take time to enjoy your family?

I’m so sorry you feel this way honey. Is it possible you’re experiencing PPD? For the first month after my son was born I had a difficult time enjoying my new life as a mom, it was very overwhelming. It’s gotten better now though. Today was my husband’s only day off so we didn’t do much just went out to breakfast. It was a nice first Mother’s Day though 🙂
I am. I’ve gone to the doctors, and started the process. Its hard in the meanwhile.
I’m sorry that you’re feeling this way. I don’t want to just throw it at you or make you feel ways but.. I relate to how you feel. I’m a mom of three (8, 2, 1). About a month a half ago, I found out I have postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety & OCD. I had been battling with this for over a few years, and didn’t recognize it until just recently. Who I was, how I used to be, changed. It’s something that took a while to really acknowledge. In the midst of motherhood you get busy in the chaos and the daily grind of things, and it gets hard to focus on yourself especially with young children. If I may share advise; talking to your family physician may be helpful in determining if this is more than stress related symptoms. There is plenty of information online that’ll help you kind of see where in symptoms you share. But I wrote about it and if you’d like to read it to see if you share any of this.. it’s important to speak to a professional health and mental practitioner. Here’s the link to my post . I hope things get better for you and you find what it is this roots from. Anything related to mental illness (anxiety, depression, etc) is really hard to mark on your own or know what the symptoms are. But know that you have a village of other moms out here to support you, in any way. If it may not be related to that at all, and you just need mom friends, I’m here. I know how hard it is to find mom friends when you are one. Sending you well wishes. xo Maria |
Motherhood is exhausting, demanding, and thankless. I understand that you don’t love it as much as we are told we should. Keep your head up though – it’ll get better, promise!
We spent the day celebrating our moms and doing some spring cleaning. I got a lovely, heartfelt card from my daughter and husband. ❤️
Sorry to hear that you aren’t loving motherhood, although it’s good that you are working on it. Hopefully you can get some support because although it is really really hard to be a mother it’s important that you can enjoy it and find it rewarding as well. All the best, keep at it❤
I’m sorry for what your going through but just try to take joy in the little things. You children will look at you like you are the greatest thing in the world, and at that moment, you really are. I’m sure it’s a hard, and I wish you the best of luck.
Those diapers are adorable! I think my favorite part of pregnancy was just buying all the different prints! Sorry to hear that you are having a tough time…a I hope things get better for you soon.
Parenting is hard and especially mothering… we all have that feeling when we just are overwhelmed as a mom… in my case… especially when the FAB Five are working that last nerve… You must take the necessary time and SPACE so you can regroup… if that means taking a week away so you can have alone time or a weekend mom getaway… DO IT!!! YES.. IT’S ABOUT THE KIDS… BUT IT’S ABOUT YOU TOO… AND YOU HAVE TO FIND YOUR ALONE TIME OR YOU WILL GO CRAZY!!!
So please take the necessary time you need and please express yourself to your husband and your doctor… you must be honest about your situation so you can live a healthier life and truly bond with your little ones…May ALLAH continue to bless you and your family… You are in my prayers… ~ejnosillA

I’m so sorry you are feeling this way. I hope you talk to someone and try to sort out these emotions. Hugs mama!

I enjoyed my Mother’s Day very much. I am glad you got out for that hike. That is one of my favorite things to do. Please reach out if you need anything.
I wanted the same on Mothers Day! I want to go somewhere without people, Internet, phones etc only with my family
I wish I’d been able to get matching diapers on my girls! Not that it’s too late, I suppose. I’ll just have to make them once I get my sewing machine out of storage 🙂 I hope you had a good Mother’s Day and start to love Motherhood soon!
