Couple of weeks ago I put together a big old list of Canadian manufactured cloth diapers and I loved it. It was amazing to connect and learn about so many dedicated and passionate makers in this country.
One of my deepest passions is to support local, shop small, and build up women entrepreneurs to be amazing. One of their biggest challenges is finding customers. I didn’t know some of these online retailers even existed. But guess, now I do and now you do too.

Let’s Define an Online Retailer
Canada is a pretty easy definition – it implies anybody located in Canada. I know some other brands ship to Canada but that usually comes with higher shipping fees and increased duty and taxes. This can make cloth diapering more expensive than if you just buy locally.
Personally, I want to define a retailer as offering more than one option of cloth diaper. And, I am. A cloth diaper retailer is a location that resells cloth diapers from a brand or manufacturer. Yes, you can buy many of these brands directly.
I personally prefer shopping at retailers offering an array of products and brands because it provides me with an opportunity to learn about the different options in store, and they are able to offer a wider selection of options for hard questions. It also helps provide some validity to a brand. Many cloth diaper retailers actively carry products they stand behind. I know when I walk into CozyBums she only carries brands she fully supports both in their production models and their product. I know when I shop online with the Baby Footprint, she also only carries products she loves for her family. These two retailers are not an exception. When I choose to shop at a retailer over a brand, I do it because I trust in the opinions and selection of products at my retailer. These are women I know, appreciate and respect. I know they support multiple brands they have multiple options, opinions, and experiences which is influential in my cloth diapering career. That’s just my take. Take it or leave it.
This list doesn’t contain all the Etsy shops for a cloth diaper. Find them here on the Made in Canada List.
Online Canadian Retailers of Cloth Diapers
It’s hard for me to keep up to date on this list. If you know of any changes drop a comment. If you want to be added, do the same. Likewise, email me at hello [at] simplymombailey [dot] com.
This information is not any sort of guarantee for pricing, brands and shipping costs may change from my last update. Sometimes stores go out of business because its hard to be a business owner in this economy. Let me know if that happens too.
I really don’t like Amazon unless I need it. Yes, you can buy cloth diapers there, but mostly just knockoffs which are probably going to destroy the mom & pop industry. You could also check out one of the shops. I know, I put Well.ca on there but #canadian?

Tell us why you shop with your chosen cloth diaper retailer? What makes or breaks the relationship with finding a cloth diaper retailer?
Personally, I shop local because its easy and I dont like waiting for shipping. I also shop directly with brands I have a personal relationship with. I also shop with small shops around the country when I’m scouting out a HTF/HSA cloth diaper.
