Black Friday is coming up and everyone is asking “what can I expect for Black Friday deals on cloth diapers” and to that, I almost always – check out old blog posts and not much changes.

In general, expect sales from 10-30%. This is great because we rarely see sales on some products, and the margin is not as great as you might expect. In my experience, a 20% sale on a cloth diaper is a great discount.

The fun in Black Friday, much like Earth Day, is that sales are a SURPRISE, but humans are predictable and 8/10 times, brands and retailers do the exact same thing. I will warn you, that usually the deepest sales are exclusive to Black Friday, but product will and does sell out.  If you’re new to cloth diapering, you should grab a copy of my book, and then a few diapers.

4 Reasons to Shop Cloth Diapers on Black Friday

1. Best Sales of the Year. Seriously, tied with Earth Day, most cloth diaper brands and retailers offer their largest discounts and best promotional offers during Black Friday. There’s always an exception, but this is the day.

This is the time to build your stash.
This is the time pad your stash with something a little extra.
This is the time to invest in an overnight diaper.
This is the time to start cloth diapering.

2. Promotional Offers. Many retailers will provide freebies, sales on clearance inventory, and other fun and unusual promotional pricing that you don’t usually see any other time of the year.

3. Giveaways! So many brands and retailers host Black Friday giveaways. If you don’t have the pocket change to shop, at least drop in and try to win something.

4. Support Small Business. Black Friday can feel like consumerism at it’s finest, but cloth diaper brands are small businesses. Shopping on Black Friday with a cloth diaper retailer or brand, is shopping with a small business and supporting this incredible community of men and women.

Bonus: Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday is another great cloth diaper shopping day. It’s not as popular as the big Black Friday, but some retailers will offer specials.
