ADHD update. I’ve had a few inquiries about this journey, and things are going great. Which could be part sunshine and green grass, but is also medication and awareness.
I take Concerta, as needed, along with my regular antidepressant (Venalfaxine) and my PPI (pantoprozile). Concerta helps me not get overwhelmed and exhausted – I’m less likely to have a sensory meltdown, and less likely to need a nap. I’m more likely to follow through on tasks from start to end, but I’m more likely to forget to eat. ?
I also don’t get nearly the same cycles of mania and burnout during my menstrual period with regular medication use.
The more I explore how the brain works, and learn about human traits and personality, the more inclined I am to also believe that I’m also autistic. Which everytime I say out loud to someone they look at me and panic, but these neurodiverse labels are not things to be scared of, but opportunities to learn how to be better humans with compassion and guidance.
I’ve spent over 15 years on various medication to manage mood swings, anxiety, and depression. – but I kinda just think it was me not jiving with how the world wants me to behave.
