Most of us have a junk drawer, we’ve dedicated to the miscellaneous. For those of us who don’t, you are either very well organised, or (as is my case) you don’t have the luxury of wasting such precious drawer space for the miscellaneous.
I do however have a ‘junk room’: My beloved office/sewing room.
Somehow, over the course of the past 6 months my office became the dumping grounds for absolutely everything that I didn’t want guests or visitors to see. It was easy, ever since rearranged the room in the hopes of making it a guest room, I hated spending time in it, and thus, dumping became acceptable – I never used the room anyways.
After 3 weeks of inconsistent dedication to tackling the room, I have managed to set up my desk/work station. I donated a few bags of stuff, threw lots out, and set aside a box for a spring garage sale.
Unfortunately there is still a pile of stuff in the hallway – the book shelf. I’m waiting desperately for my dearest husband to finish the hardwood floor project in our bedroom (I dream of setting up a reading nook in our bedroom).
