1+1 = Mini Board! [Bumbleride Mini Board Review & Giveaway]

Life with 2 young kids is not easy. And while they aren’t 2 under 2 anymore, the challenges of raising two young children close in age did not disappear when my oldest turned two this past July. #sorry

Your friendly FTC disclosure statement. I connected with Bumbleride about this post and they sent me a Mini Board to try. They are also sponsoring the giveaway below. But, regardless of relationship, I’ve been a long time Bumbleride enthusiast and I wanted to write this post because it’s a product I honestly love and want to share with you.

We have a double stroller, but it’s massive. I don’t love it for everyday use because of it’s a challenge in urban environments. My toddler is also very opinionated about doing his own thing. Unfortunately, he is still just a little guy and tires out quickly. Despite being a babywearing enthusiast, carrying 35 pounds is tiresome, and I’m over it. With these thoughts, I came to the conclusion I needed a Bumbleride Mini Board for my toddler & my Bumbleride Indie.

I was right.

Why Bumbleride?

Before I get to share my love of the Bumbleride Mini board, I think we should touch base about why I love my Bumbleride stroller.

There are many different strollers on the market, and many new brands I’m learning more about with each day, but then, Bumbleride drew me in with colourful strollers and all-terrain capacity.

Bumbleride Stroller (Bumbleride Indie 4) and the Mini Board is a perfect fit for adventure families. This all terrain stroller easily converts to handle two kids with the addition of the Mini Board. Long lasting, easy to use, this stroller is the perfect fit for 2 under 3. #stroller #momlife

Since I’ve come to learn more about the company and their interest in creating quality products with an eye for sustainability. From the materials they choose, the working relationship with their manufacturers, and customer service, Bumbleride is everything I look for when I make a purchasing choice.

Did you know? You can buy replacement parts for your Bumbleride stroller. No need to toss it when you can repair it. From wheels to axles and even stroller fabrics, you can keep your Bumbleride out of the landfill just a little longer. This reminds me I have a broken piece on my Stroller I should replace (two years of solid use and only the handle strap has gone. That’s impressive).

My Bumbleride has treated me well. I’ve taken it on the most adventurous of trails. It handles the roots with the breeze, the snow with a glide, and is a pure delight to push.

Note: I own a Bumbleride Indie 4. This 4-wheeled model is no longer in production. But no fear, the Indie and Double are just as consistently awesome.

Bumbleride Mini Board 101

The Bumbleride Mini Board is a nifty little ride-on board for your Bumbleride stroller. A ride-on board, mini-board, or boogie board (whatever you might know it as) attached to the stroller and provides a standing space for a small child to a pre-existing stroller.

The Bumbleride Mini Board is compatible with 2008-2017 Bumbleride Indie, Indie 4 and Indie Twin strollers. It doesn’t work on the Speed. Here are a few other features to know.

  • Easy-to-use clamps to attach.
  • Slip-resistant deck.
  • 2 Swivel Wheels.
  • Maximum Weight of 44lbs.
  • Not universal.
  • Needs to be removed to collapse the stroller.

It does arrive unassembled to your door and takes time to build. I thought it would be a quick five minutes; however, with two small children wanting to help. It took me a solid 10 minutes + 5 more to find a wrench. Overall, it was not too difficult to put together, and once together, you never have to do it again. #easypeasy

Jump on with a Bumbleride Mini Board for your Bumbleride Indie Stroller. This little ride on board is the perfect solution for 2 under 3 giving you the ease of a single stroller, but the convince of a double. Toddlers will love riding the board when tired!

Putting together the board might have been a little tricky with many helpful hands, but the day-to-day installation is easy. Simple large clamps are easy to use and attach to the frame of the stroller. The process takes no time at all and is no more work than configuring a baby carrier.

1 + 1 = Bumbleride MiniBoard

The toddler was slightly unsure of the thing when I rolled it out. He might have spent most of the day rolling around on the board in the living room, but once on the stroller, there was a sense of confusion.

He kept insisting on laying on it or trying to sit on it. This process is infuriating, and I had to remind myself that he’s just two.

But once he figured it out, he never walked again.

The mini board is a little awkward when walking with the stroller because it takes up room for my stride. I’m a solid 6 feet tall with a decent sized stride. A little reading on the internet suggests this is a common problem with most, if not ALL, stroller boards. It just takes up valuable space.

Luckily, I found it easy enough to adjust my stride or to push the stroller on the side (because the Bumbleride pushes like a breeze). This stride issue never deters me from bringing the Bumbleride Mini Board on an adventure.

For us, the Bumbleride Mini Board is the perfect solution to my problem. Instead of buying another double stroller for the Mall, or casual walks around the block, I now have a way to burn off my Toddler’s energy, but still, give him space to take a break. It’s a win for me because I don’t have to carry any babies, and this mama, she needs a break sometimes.

Seriously we love it.

The Mini Board has calmed toddler temper tantrums, and given my toddler a sense of independence.

Not only does the Mini Board make my toddler happier, but this mama is more inclined to go out with my two under two. Carrying my 20-pound baby girl, while pushing my toddler (or vice versa) is a daunting and physically demanding task. But, now with my Mini Board, I’m physically less exhausted at the end of an outing.

The mini board lets us keep adventuring, and helps me be the best mom I can be. For that, you need one. If you think you need a double stroller because the kids are getting big, but don’t have the budget for it, check out this must-have accessory.

Do you want a Bumbleride Mini Board?

You know you do.

Sadly, the Mini Board is not universal. It only works with Bumbleride strollers (excluding the Speed).

If you’re a Bumbleride owner, check out this giveaway below. This a must-have accessory for those of us with more than one kid. I wish I bought this six months ago. #truestory. Or buy one directly from Bumbleride or any of their fantastic retailers.

This would be so awesome to win. I have a 4 year old a 2 year old and another due in 4 weeks. This would be great to use on my BRIT or single depending on how many of the kids I have with me.

This looks so handy. Like you mentioned, double strollers are often huge, and an older kid often will want to walk… until their legs tire, and then what?!? Pop on the nifty board. Looks awesome!
