I did a little unboxing of the Becebe Cloth because I backed them in the ifundwomen campaign in 2021, and today we’ll share some of the details about this diaper. Becebe is launching with a cloth diaper cover and pocket diaper but were’ just going to talk about the cover system today and the pocket next week.

About Becebe Cloth
Becebe Cloth is the passion project of Janice, a young mom of two living in California. She, like many of us experienced the crushing overwhelm of the trash created by disposables mixed with the impacts of climate change during forest fire season. Becebe cloth is her way of simplifying the cloth diaper conversation and launching a brand with her visions and values.
Becebe cloth is more than just a cloth diaper brand. You can also shop a selection of Grow-with-me clothing and accessories to support your family in making the most of the baby days.
About the Becebe Cloth Diaper Cover
There are two Becebe diapers – the cover and the pocket. The cloth diaper cover system is designed to be easy so that you can spend less time trying to figure it out. The key features in the Becebe Cloth Diaper Cover
- Contoured bamboo blend inserts topped with athletic wicking jersey
- Sized for 15lbs to 60lbs plus (3months to 4 T)
- Front & Back PUL flaps to prevent blow outs and wicking
- Generous sizing & cut for ease-of-use experience.
- Wipeable cover allows you to reuse until soiled
This is a very generous sized cloth diaper system. It’s fluffy. Fluffy isn’t a bad thing. I know the cloth diaper industry is always obsessed with the trimmest diaper on the market, but sometimes the best leak-free experience is the fluffy covers that give you that ease of installation. This is getting into the review, but larger cut covers like this can make it easier for the diaper to fit most kids, most of the time, by most caregivers.
Becebe Cloth Diaper Cover Review
This is a fantastic choice for parents who are starting cloth diapering with an established young child or toddler. If you’re a parent thinking of switching to cloth at 9 months, or after your child is 15lbs, this is a good choice for your family.
It’s exceptionally straightforward, and generous sizing is one that I always preferred as a parent. I think back to some of my favourite products as a cloth diapering parent and they included larger cut covers like the Nuggles Tuck-Wrap-Go, the Blueberry Capri, and the Petite Crown Cover. These shapes all gave me that full coverage, the double gusset girth, and just the better user experience across fitteds, prefolds, flats and inserts.

Covers aren’t for everyone, but they are a great easy swap, and with snap-in inserts this is really appealing system to use with other caregivers in your life.
I’m really pleased with the overall quality of the product, and the size and shape is really suitable for those of you entering cloth after newborn days. This size 2 sizing is fantastic and don’t get hung up on the idea that it’s not a trim one size cut like many other products. If you want a more traditional one size shape, consider the Becebe Pocket Diaper.
The inserts are big but trim, and they will great for bigger kids. If you are diapering on a smaller child, you might want to play around if you need both or just one because you’ll find just one much trimmer. Most of the trimness for fitting under pants doesn’t come from the width of the diaper, but the depth of the inserts.
These natural fibre inserts are just that. You also have the sewn in athletic wicking jersey on the top of one insert giving you the option for some wicking and cooling of the diaper. The other side is natural fiber topped and you can choose what you need.
The inserts did bacon a little, but I have been told they are still working on finding the best manufacturer and material and therefore we can expect some changes in the inserts over coming designs. When I sit down for an absorbency testing day, I’ll be back with the stats.
And the Wetbag
With my iFundwomen pledge, I also received the small wet bag. This is a great size. I love that it fits just a few diapers, and it’s not overly large or super tiny. For me, this would be perfect because I’m the type to only go out for a few hours, not all day. I’m also the type to just bring one or two diapers with me anywhere, anytime.
It features two pockets, and these adjustable snap hanldes.
Recommendation of the Becebe Cloth Diaper Cover
If you’ve come across Becebe Cloth Diapers and wondering if you should give it a go, the answer is yes. This is a great choice for most parents looking to start diapering.
If you’ve already been cloth diapering and you like a pant style fit, or a bikini brief fit, or a very trim fit – then this isn’t the diaper for you. When I say that I’m thinking of most Australian cloth diapers, Funky Fluff, Lalabye Baby, Best Bottom or even Buttosn diapers. This diaper is not that, and you might be disappointed. I would recommend checking out the Becebe Pocket Diaper Instead.

I can see this diaper having a lot of value in supporting nighttime diapering – by either pairing with your favourite fitted cloth diaper or adding an extra booster if needed. Two good size natural fiber inserts should be sufficient for most babies – but you never know how much of a heavy wetter is reading this blog post.
Right now you can still support the ifundwomen campaign and get your hands on a Becebe Cloth Diaper system, as well as their other fantastic products.
