I did a little unboxing of the Becebe Cloth because I backed them in the ifundwomen campaign in 2021, and today we’ll share some of the details about the Becebe Pocket Diaper. I didn’t share the pocked diaper in the unboxing because I thought it was a secret, but it’s not, so we’ll write about it today.

About Becebe Cloth
Becebe Cloth is the passion project of Janice, a young mom of two living in California. She, like many of us experienced the crushing overwhelm of the trash created by disposables mixed with the impacts of climate change during forest fire season. Becebe cloth is her way of simplifying the cloth diaper conversation and launching a brand with her visions and values.
Becebe cloth is more than just a cloth diaper brand. You can also shop a selection of Grow-with-me clothing and accessories to support your family in making the most of the baby days.
About the Becebe Pocket Cloth Diaper
This is an everyday pocket diaper that features the same inserts at the Becebe Cloth Diaper Cover with an wide front and back open pocket for easy insert placement and removal. The Becebe pocket diaper is a standard one size system that many of you already know and love as a part of your pocket diaper stash.
A few of the features of this pocket diaper:
- Standard one-size sizing from about 8-35lbs
- Lined with athletic wicking jersey
- Comes with two natural fiber inserts that snap together, and into the diaper
- Front PUL tummy panel
- 3×3 rise settings, and a bottom hip snap with cross over snaps.

Review of the Becebe Pocket diaper
Now the Becebe Pocket cloth Diaper uses the same generous sized and contoured inserts of the Becebe cloth diaper cover. This is both good and bad news. The good is that you get some serious absorbency with the product.
The bad is that the inserts are quite large, so if you’re using this diaper on a smaller baby, you’ll want to take out the large insert and set it aside until you grow. It’s going to overwhelm the diaper, and give you a less than ideal fit – but you could also make it work. That would just be my personal preference as a user. I really like to use smaller sizes on smaller babies, and bigger on big. That’s why the inserts are so fantastic for the cover.
The inserts did bacon a little, but they are still in great shape. The contour is perfect for maximizing absorbency where you need it. We saw this similar anchor-shape on the Designer Bums insert a few reviews ago.

One of the best ways to tackle leaks is to put the absorbency where it’s needed, and adding more layers and width helps because pee doesn’t move throughout the entire insert as quickly as we might expect it too. It really can saturate and pool where the pee happens, resulting in leaks. But if there is absorbency to catch the pee before it gets to the PUL or the leg crease we snip leaks before they happen.
Altogether, this is a standard pocket cloth diaper that many users know and love. There have been customizations to the shape and materials used, but it’s not widely differently – not like the Pannolino Bambino pocket diapers we’ll look at next week.

These are all my favourite diapering features – double waist, double opening, and wicking jersey. Together, I find this combo was the best choice for my kids when I wanted to use a pocket diaper systems. Pockets are well loved by families who use daycare providers or looking for and easier clean up – make it easier with a Diaper Dawg sprayer.
Overall pleased with the construction of this product and think it would be fantastic choice for anyone looking to add another pocket diaper to their stash that offers an absorbent solution to their diapering woes.
Recommendation for the Becebe Pocket Diaper
If you like pocket diapers, this is a must-have pocket for your stash. You’ll easily be impressed with the design and silky soft PUL – what is it about PUL that just makes me fall in love with a diaper?
You can still back the Becebe iFundwomen campaign and pick up a small stash of diapers for your little one. This is a fantastic way to support Janice’s dream and the growth of the cloth diaper industry.
