UPDATE- The assistant superintendent called to apologize and that this was a violation to school district policy and will not be happening again.
Impatiently waiting to hear from the School District on why they thought it was appropriate to allow an invitation to Bible Camp to be sent to students at Westwood Elementary.
A Bible camp that holds a strong conservative Christian ethos that prevents Queer leadership, and likely try to influence similar religious values (whether intentional or not).
Violation of Policy 23? Out of alignment with SOGI? Approved by the super?
It can be an awesome camp. But offering FREE camp run by religious organization to a school via their assessment package is not okay. I didn’t sign up for religious offerings. #princegeorgebc
