We Got Mail: Amazon Prime

This Post Contains Affiliate Links.
We got mail! Again. There’s something just easy and amazing about the world of online shopping when you are a SAHM of 2 under 2. Loading up kids, and trying to prevent a toddler tantrum at the check out of the grocery store is not my idea of a good time.

I really do like to shop local where I can, but really, I’m a busy exhausted mom. And I’ll take shortcuts where I can with products that I can’t buy locally. If only my local grocery stores would get on board with online delivery.

This past week, I tinkled around with Amazon Prime and made an order. Simply Dad signed up for Amazon Prime because he wanted to watch Prime TV. There are some shows he likes, but I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet besides watching Despicable Me.

Loving Amazon Prime

  • Fast Shipping: Seriously, I ordered Little Man a booster for the table over breakfast Monday morning, and had it in time for dinner on Wednesday afternoon.
  • Subscribe & Save: This cloth diaper mama doesn’t need to stock disposable diapers, but there are SO MANY OTHER THINGS you can Subscribe and Save. I have barely made a dent exploring the list, but so far I’m subscribing and saving to..
    • deodrant
    • chocolate
    • wet wipes
  • Future subscribe and save purchases I’m considering having — coffee filters, furnace filters, medications, shampoo, dish detergent, and maybe toilet paper. I wanna go crunch some numbers compared to Costco.
  • LARGE BOXES. need I say more? The best part about receiving mail is getting to play with the boxes.

Fun With Boxes

Little Man didn’t get any toys in our Amazon packages this week, but he did get to have fun with the boxes that landed at our door! We received TWO big boxes, which just called for a good time.

Amazon Prime Mail CraftSimply Dad taped them together, and then I encouraged my tot to paint them. We had a ton of fun outside on the deck making a mess and getting covered in paint. Amazon – thanks for making memories <3

We also got all this brown paper in our boxes. Any suggestions on what we could do with it? A craft? Toddler Activity?

Have you tried Amazon Prime? Or Subscribe and Save? Whats your favourite thing to order?

My daughter is obsessed with Amazon boxes (probably even more than the toys she occasionally gets in them!) 🙂

Today, I did something I never imagined doing – I had a settlement conference following a small claims suit I made earlier this year. I filed for financial compensation following negligence of bookkeeping services that I hired out for almost 18 months.  The thing about small claims court is they really want you to nail […]

Prince George, BC | My Rhododendron Died

I’m from BC’s southwest coast, rhododendrons grow everywhere. They are the hedge plant of everything, but in Prince George, BC you will be hard pressed to find a rhododendron because they are just not zone 3 plants.  When we purchased our current home we were surprised to discover a rhododendron – but there was much […]
