Every cloth diaper has its place on the shelf. There are some cloth diapers better at tackling heavy wetters at night, while others are more versatile for the day-to-day. Some are more babysitter friendly, while others perfect for well-seasoned cloth diaper user.
The GroVia AIO is one of these diapers with its special place on the shelf. This diaper is kind of finicky and it’s not for everyone. That’s okay, just means more for me.

I’m writing this post because the GroVia AIO is returning to Canada. After a solid year of not being available in Canada, a few retailers have them back on the shelf in limited quantities. GroVia slowed down production and availability of the GroVia AIO over the past couple of years in favour of more popular designs. As such, Canadians were limited to the stock already on the shelves at Canadian retailers. Because GroVia products can be shipped across borders, it was only available on the buy and sell market. until now.
You can also purchase GroVia directly from The Natural Baby Company.
In’s & Out’s of GroVia AIO
What makes the GroVia All in One (AIO) unique is the side snapping feature for fastening this all in one cloth diaper onto the baby. Unlike the majority of cloth diapers, the GroVia AIO fasteners along the hips (whereas other cloth diapers fasten in the front). This hip fastens feature is a tricky and not for everyone.
This is a very different product to the GroVia ONE, and more comparable to their My Choice Trainer

Other great details: this is a one size cloth diaper ideal for 10 – 35lbs (if you need smaller check out the newborn), it’s made of organic cotton with one sewn in tongue and an additional snap in a booster for 10 layers of absorbency, it features a simple double rise snap.

Why you NEED the GroVia AIO?
This all in one cloth diaper is AMAZINGLY TRIM.
I know I think receiving blankets and prefold cloth diapers are trim, but they aren’t when you compare them to the GroVia AIO.
The GroVia AIO cloth diaper is made for wearing under jeans. If you can’t fit the cloth diaper booty into your toddlers favourite jeans, then you haven’t tried a GroVia AIO. It’s unbelievably trim from the narrow crotch to the side snaps, to the tush. There’s no fluff or extra with this diaper.
Couple Tricks to Make the GroVia AIO Work for You.
The biggest complaint about the GroVia AIO cloth diaper is that it wicks along the edges of the wings. I have experienced this unpleasantry myself. You’ll notice your child’s hips are wet but not the front of the diaper. It’s because the wings got wet and here are some ideas for solving that problem.
- Stretchy wings go BETWEEN the diaper and the tongues, not against baby’s skin.
- personally, I prefer to fold the wings over on themselves and towards the back of the diaper. It’s not the smoothest look and it’s not what GroVia says to do, but it is what works best for me.

- Add Absorbency
- yes, this diaper is 10 layers of absorbency but its a very trim diaper and therefore a very trim absorbency = less absorbent. I swap out my snap in a booster for the small insert from the GroVia ONE set. This works for me because I only use the large GroVia ONE insert in my ONE.
- Or use a GroVia Booster.
- Because this diaper is so narrow and trim many traditional inserts and boosters will not work nicely.
- Check the Rise Setting
- This is a trim and tight-fitting diaper. Make sure your rise setting is small enough so gaps don’t happen and thus leaks. But also don’t forget about bum crack. find that sweet spot with a little practice.
- Don’t be afraid to stretch.
- The wings were meant for stretching and you’ll get the best fit with a good stretch to fit. Don’t worry they are soft and comfy cozy for baby to move it.

Why you don’t need the GroVia AIO..
Because it’s not very absorbent without a booster. I think it’s maybe like 7-8 ounces which is okay for some kids, but not for my heavy wetter boy.
It’s also easier to use with girls. This is a girl cloth diaper. Little boys with penises pee in the front of the diaper which means the side snaps are more likely to wick. I have never had any wicking problems with my girl like I did with my boy. She’s also a light wetter.

Do I love it?
Yes. I do. While I did sell a few in my big destash for a tiny home living (that we never did), I do really enjoy the GroVia AIO cloth diaper. It seems difficult but it’s actually REALLY EASY to use. I love how trim it is under clothing and that’s one of the big reasons I keep it in my stash.
I already make chunky children and I don’t need cloth diapering to be the reason I need bigger clothing. We use our GroVia AIO on every day and I always use them with the small booster from the GroVia O.N.E.
My husband has no idea how to use it. That’s okay, I change 99% of the cloth diapers and theres plenty of other easier to use diapers.
