Does your kid love sitting in laundry baskets and toy bins? Have you been wondering about getting your kids their own chairs but overwhelmed with the fancy decorative chairs that you know they’ll spill hot chocolate on or the dogs will claim as their own?
Ya, me too.
And then Kimboo slid into my emails asking me if I wanted to try the KIMBOO Cube. This was an answer to my week long question. I wanted chairs for my kids, but I didn’t want a mini couch, and I wanted something versatile. The Cube looked like exactly what I needed and the perfect fit for my kids.

The day our chairs arrived – we were a few weeks into physical distancing and the kids noticed the word “toy” on the box and were so excited.
Kimboo sent me chairs for free in exchange for a blog post and social media posts. I don’t follow through if I don’t love something. This post is my honest experience of the product.
What is the KIMBOO Cube?
Based on the Montessori cube chair, the KIMBOO Cube is made from Baltic birch plywood. It’s a multi-functional cube that can be used in many different ways and sits children up to the age of 8-9, or up to 300 pounds of weight.
The Cube has 4 handles and can be used in many different ways – it can be a short chair, tall chair, bench, table, or anything else your kids want to use it as.

Anna is aged 3, wears a size 5. Walter is aged 4.5 and wears a size 7/8.
KIMBOO is a Canadian company that proudly makes it products in Canada. We already have and love the rocker board, and don’t forget to check out their Pikler Triangle. Shop Kimboo Today.
Because Kimboo is a Canadian kids furniture company everything ships really quick, you don’t have to worry about duties and taxes, and the price is the price without worrying about exchange rates.

PS The box that comes with the Kimboo is the perfect size to get crafty like making this airplane.
Kids Love It
The kids are smitten – maybe too smitten. Anna always wants to use both chairs and create a mini bed for herself, or use the other chair as a table. I should order another set.

She’s goofy and sits in it however she wants. And yes, I let the kids colour their Kimboo Rocker Board – some fights aren’t worth having.
They watch TV in them.
They use them in the kitchen as a stool.
They use them in my bedroom to get at the chocolate stash in my cupboard.
They use them as a desk.
They use them as a table.
They use them in all the ways.
Right now they are both in my home office tent and the kids sit in them to play their iPad while I try to get some work done with kids at home.

Mom Loves It
I love how sleek and minimal they are. They take up very little space in my home and can be easily tucked away into the corner or under the coffee table.
I love that they are just wood and can be wiped clean. I love that they can be used in many different ways and that they are easy to drag around the house. They are so light my kids can carry them from room to room for where they want to sit or do work.

This was everything I wanted and more in a kid chair. I am incredibly pleased with the quality and design of this product and would definitely recommend to a friend or family member.
