Kinder Cloth Diaper Review

Earlier this year, Kinder Cloth Diaper Co approached me for advertising when they launched their brand in early 2021, and since then these guys have been blowing it away with incredible artwork and collections. This is a cloth diaper brand that has grown out of the need and want to put their art on the baby’s bum – just like the Nerdy Momma’s diapers.

Kindercloth sent me this package of diapers to check out – no strings attached, but here’s the thoughts on the website because Krystal & Gannon are pretty awesome.

About Kinder Cloth Diaper Co

We all start cloth diaper brands for different reasons, and Kinder Cloth Diaper Co is a family run cloth diaper brand based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Krystal & Gannon will be on the Cloth Diaper Podcast in 2022 to share their story from graphic designers to diaper designers.

They’ve also launched a cloth diaper cover this Fall 2021. I don’t have one but it looks great. So if pockets aren’t your thing, but you love supporting artists and artists collaborations Kinder Cloth has everything and more. You’ll find wet-bags, apparel and more other website – I’ve linked the and more page.

The Kinder Cloth Pocket Diaper

I have two of their pocket cloth diapers – and it’s a pocket cloth diaper. It doesn’t have the gizmos and gadgets of some all in two diapers like the EcoNaps or the Fluffy Ducks Diapers, but diapering doesn’t have to be all the additions and features. It really can be simple – simple with amazing designs (and I hear a regular line up of solids!)

A pocket cloth diaper features a waterproof exterior and an inner layer of material with an opening to create a pocket between the two pieces of fabric. This opening is then used to place inserts, just like you might put your hand into your pant pocket

    Kinder Cloth Pocket Diaper Thoughts

I was so excited to get this package, and then there was a moment of… this is it? It’s just a pocket diaper. And that it is, but I think the more I get to know the Kinder Cloth Fam, and the more I get to understand what they are doing and why, the more I realize that fancy features are just that fancy features.

And honestly, this diaper has all the features you really need: sturdy design & build, athletic wicking jersey instead of suede, and a double waist snap.

I love that they’ve ditched suede for AWJ because AWJ is just superior in my opinion. I find that it’s more effective in transferring the pee, less likely to build up & stink, and just a better performing textile for pocket diapers.

I love that they have a belly panel because I really don’t think we should be making diapers without one in 2022, it’s seriously the easies way to reduce wicking and support families into having a better diapering experience.

I am sad that it’s only a single open pocket… because I love a double opening, but alas, the world is not all about me… I do find it weird that the snaps on mine seem to buckle a lot, and I have been looking over my diapers and it really seems to vary brand to brand.

Its also fantastic that this diaper system is sold without inserts because it really puts you back in control of the diaper and how you want to diaper. Earth & Pebble did this too, and so does Bebeboo. Letting you choose the inserts and absorbencies ensures you have the best cloth diaper experience because inserts don’t’ work for everyone. I put prefolds into all of my diapers, but receiving blankets are a fantastic way to reuse, and if you already have a stash of inserts, no need to purchase extra things that don’t get used.

The Kinder insert is 4-layers of 100% bamboo Terry. It doesn’t have any sneaky microfibre or synthetics, has a snaps to snap into the Kinder Cloth diaper or your favourite diapering system, and is a thin profile for less bulk. I really like this insert, it’s soft and malleable. It’s not too dense and likely wash up and dry awesome. I’ve tossed it in the wash, and when I do a review on video I’ll have more stats of you on this insert.

And this diaper is a classic pocket cloth diaper fit & shape. If you like other pocket cloth diapers, you’ll likely like this one too. It’s adjustable and adaptable to many different shapes and sizes of kids.

    Kinder Cloth Recommendation

I’m just a blogger on the internet showing you some things about a diaper, but this is an exceptional entry level cloth diaper that parents of all stages of life will enjoy using. It’s simple, no frills, but the designs and artwork are there to make it work. Krystal & Gannon are passionate people looking to provide you with access to affordable, trendy, and well-designed products.

You should definitely try this cloth diaper today… and then write a review so that I can have some links to share with people. Even thought I don’t have kids in diapers, it doesn’t really matter because we all have different experiences with diapers and we all look for different types of products to ensure we have success diapering.
