Melissa Makes AIO Cloth Diaper Review

To watch the full review, check out the video on YouTube. But here’s a photos of the Melissa Makes AIO cloth diaper. This is not a sponsored post, and affiliate links to her Etsy shop are used.

What is an AIO?

An all in one diaper is a cloth diaper with sewn in absorbency. It is everything you need in one package. No assembly needed.

About the Melissa Makes AIO

This is a largely sized cloth diaper fitting babes 8-42lbs. It is a larger fit than the bumgenius AIO elemental that I compared it to. You’ll notice it has nice long wings. Each wing even has cross over snaps so there is no wrong way – you’ll always get the snaps right.

It is made of PUL shell with a layer of hemp fleece, 2 layers of organic bamboo fleece, and a suede cloth interior lining.

The absorbency is a highly dense absorbent pad sewn into the mid section of the diaper. It’s neither too far forward or too far back and located directly in the mid section of the diaper.

The Melissa Makes AIO retailers for $36 Canadian. This is a higher price point, but not entirely out to lunch. It is comparable to many products found at Canadian Cloth Diaper Retailers. An AIO diaper usually prices around $30-40 Canadian.

Recommendation

If you’re looking for a larger fitting, easy to use, all in one cloth diaper. This is a great choice. It’s super easy to clean up and fits larger children incredibly. You might need more absorbency based on your Childs needs. because of the dense absorbency, I do find that this diaper does take a long time to dry. Seude is a nice stay dry liner that can bead sometimes, but a snug fit should reduce that.

The inner pad can be a fuss if you need it for a very small baby. This is the downside of any all in one diaper with sewn in absorbency in the body of the diaper. It easier to adjust the fit and function when the absorbency is sewn in like foldable wings or tabs.
