Let’s check out the MME & Co All In One Cloth Diaper. This diaper was recently featured on my list of budget diapers in Canada, and brings a competitively priced natural fibre all in one diaper to the Canadian market.
MME & Co reached out to me earlier this year to showcase their diaper on the Cloth Diaper Podcast Instagram feed, and I was immediately impressed. I see a lot of great diapers, but I don’t get a diaper envy often. This is a diaper I wish I had when my babies were still in diapers. I loved all in one diaper for so long, and many of my favourite diapers featured the same characteristics.
Disclosure: MME & Co sent me this diaper for a small review on Instagram in Spring 2021. This written review comes as request of a follower to take a deep dive into the product and as always is my insightful opinion.
About MME & Co
MME & Co is a Canadian cloth diaper brand. Designed by a Quebec-mom, MME & Co products are assembled in China. When they reached out to me, she shared so many insights into the design process to make this diaper.
When a mom decides to make a diaper and sell it to the world, so much work goes into designing the perfect product. And that is totally evident in this diaper, and I can’t wait to get my hands on her other products to see if they also stand out.
MME & Co is on a mission to support families in making the transition to zero waste living. They offer an All In One Diaper, Training Pants, Menstrual Pads (which is amazing), and so much. Shop with them direct online at MME&Co.
MME & Co All In One Cloth Diaper (AIO 2.0)
The MME & Co All In One Diaper is available for only $20.99 CAD. Now, I don’t often start the conversation with price, but today I am because it’s very rare that you come across a $20 natural fibre diaper with all the bells and whistles. Most all in one cloth diapers in Canada begin at $25-40.
This is a true all in one diaper. It features a sewn in insert that means you can skip the folding. It has also an optional snap in insert. This gives you two bamboo blend inserts to customize to your baby’s needs. The double snap on the second insert increases durability (aka it’s less likely to come apart in the wash compared to a single snap system). It is advertised as holding 16 ounces, making it a contender for a nighttime diaper.
Do you love the double insert All In One Diaper? So do I, check out these other reviews for similar products that offer absorbency and less bulky.
This is a one size fits most diaper for babies 10-35lbs. It has a triple waist snap setting that gives you the security to reduce wing sag, and a 4×3 rise setting for a variety of different sizing needs as babies body shape changes.
Featuring double gussets, the design of this diaper offers full leg coverage, and allows for additional gurth. This means you can add a Geffen Baby Hemp Insert if you want, or any other amazing boosters or AIO if you’re kids are looking for a super soaker solution to nights or days.
You’ll also find a PUL Tummy panel to reduce front wicking, and the bamboo velvet interior is suggested to offer a drying effect. Bamboo is a great choice for this diaper style in its ability to wick and move wet from the skin.
My Review of the MME & Co AIO Diaper
I am smitten about this diaper. Theoritically everthing looks amazing. It’s absorbent, its cusotmizeable, it’s versatile, and it has the ever loved double gusset.
That said, I was chatting with Zoe this afternoon and when I think about BIG babies, this might not be the best choice as it feels like a true 8-35lbs diaper. I wouldn’t classify it as fitting small like a Lil Helper or Rumparooz, but it’s definitely not as gracious as a fit as some of the larger fitting diapers like Melissa Makes.
I don’t love the triple waist snap, I do prefer the cleaner cut of the double waist snap, but it’s not a deal breaker. Sometimes it gives a less than clean finish, which is totally aesthetic.
This diaper is the reason why I wouldn’t ever buy an Elemental Joy AIO, because for like $2 more you can get a tummy panel, gusset, and 16 ounces of absorbency (instead of like 6 ounces). This diaper was designed to work and be a success. I can feel that in their story and my conversations with this brand.
Maybe one day, I’ll get her on the Cloth Diaper Podcast to share this story.
Recommendation
If you’re looking for a natural fibre all in one diaper, the MME & CO AIO is the diaper for you. If you’re in the states, you might what to consider the Pannolino Bambino EZ Aio
If you’re looking for a low-cost diaper, that you can buy in Canada and get shipped direct to you, thenthe MME & CO AIO is the diaper for you.
If you’re looking for an overnight AIO diaper, then this is the diaper for you. You can even add additional hemp inserts or small prefold diapers for an extra absorbency boost and the gussets will help keep it all together.
I wouldn’t recommend this diaper if you’re going to need something to 40-45lbs, but again that’s a rough estimate and not the standard. Some 3 years are that big, and some 6 years aren’t.
