Our Newborn cloth diaper journey has mostly come to an end, as we only have a couple left in our rotation (Blueberry Newborn Simplex, Funky Fluff Newborn, Sweet Pea Newborn, and select Fitteds with covers). This week at her 2 month visit, Little Miss weighed in at 12 pounds 8 oz. This makes her slightly above 50th percentile for weight. Before we pack up our newborn diapers for resale, we thought we’d have one last photoshoot so we can all see what a Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds looks like.
All except the Blueberry Newborn Simplex have had their absorbency capacity maxed out and need to be boosted. Adding boosters to many of these newborn AIO cloth diapers will make them bigger and bulkier and likely reduce their likelihood of fitting.

Blueberry Newborn Simplex
The Blueberry Newborn Simplex is by far one of the longest lasting Newborn cloth diapers on the market. While I might not have liked it right out of the gate, it still gives a great fit at 12 pounds. Estimated 6- 16 pounds

bumGenius Littles
I’m completly surprised I got the bumGenius Little on Little Miss at 12.5 pounds. This is notoriously one of the smaller fitting diapers, and the hook & loop tabs just barely connected around her chunky waist. Estimated 6 -12 pounds

Easy Peasies Little Squish
The snaps are off centre on the Easy Peasies Little Squish, but this mighty diaper still has growing room. At this stage it definitely needs a hemp booster, and I keep finding myself with wicking at the legs due to maxing out the absorbency capacity. Estimated 2-14 pounds.
Funky Fluff Newborn
I’ve already raved a glowing review about the Funky Fluff Newborn cloth diaper and I’m pleased its still fitting Little Miss at 12 pounds. I just opened the rise setting on this diaper this week. Estimated 4-12 pounds plus.

GroVia New Style Newborn
The newer style GroVia Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds wasn’t too bad of a fit. Realistically, if this diaper had the absorbency needs it would still be in my stash. Instead, we’ve replaced with the beloved GroVia organic cotton AIO and Hybrid Shells.

GroVia Old Style Newborn
The older style GroVia Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds didn’t fit very nicely. It wasn’t as tight as the later mentioned Born Smart, but it definitely wouldn’t be boosted without a poor overall fit. Estimated 5 -12 pounds plus.
Find these in your second-hand cloth diaper market – think Facebook BST or Craigslist/Kijiji.
Imagine Stay Dry
The Imagine Stay Dry Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds was a good fit. However, the microfibre tongue doesn’t meet the absorbency and the diaper is just ready to move on. I like how the width/gurth of this newborn diaper is finally a good fit on Little Miss, but the few snap choices gave a bit bigger of a gap then I would like.
Kangacare – Rumparooz Lil Joey
The Lil Joey is really an awesome fitting diaper. This Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds still looks great on Little Miss. Like look at that fit, she looks awesome it. Too bad she’s been out peeing it for weeks and there isn’t much you can do to boost it without getting a poor fitting cloth diaper. Estimated 4- 12 pounds.

Nuggles Bittee
The Nuggles Bittee leaves a lasting impression from my newborn cloth diapering experience. This underrated brand really deserves more attention in the mainstream cloth diapering market. The Nuggles Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds was an easy fit. Estimated to fit 5 – 15 pounds.
You’ll only find the Bittee in Canada at select retailers (check nuggles.ca), as they aren’t available in the USA (at least I couldn’t’ find them).

Smart Bottoms Born Smart
The Smart Bottoms Born Smart is a beautiful quality newborn. Unfornatuely, it doesn’t live up to the expectations of having a long lasting fit. At 12 pounds I squeezed Little Miss into this diaper. I might have pinched her trying to do the snap up. Estimated to fit 6 -16 pounds.
LagoonBaby (Canada)
Sweet Pea Newborn (Microfibre)
The Sweet Pea Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds is still a great fitting diaper. I have this diaper boosted with a GroVia newborn prefold to meet our absorbency needs and its still in our stash rotation. However, I imagine it’ll shortly be leaving within the next round or so.
Thirsties NAIO
The Thirsties Natural AIO offers a good fit at 12 pounds, but again lack of absorbency means its out of the stash. It was overall trimmer compared to the Microfibre and a super sweet addition to my stash.
LagoonBaby (Canada)
Thirsties (Microfibre)
This little diaper fits smaller than the NAIO, likely because the microfibre tongue is bulkier and wider than the NAIO counterpart. See NAIO review for all the details
Looking for microfibre, read the fine print when purchasing and ensure you get this style over the other.
Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds
Each baby will look and fit differently in a Newborn AIO Cloth Diapers at 12 Pounds. Depending on length and chunk, you may or may not make it 12 pounds. But for the majority of newborns, their liquid diet will have them outpacing the absorbency on many, if not all of these diapers. While, diaper changing with cloth diapers occurs more frequently than disposable parents (think every 1.5-2 hours), we still want to make it a fair time before changing yet another diaper.

Did you newborn cloth diapers last as long as you thought (or the manufacturer suggested)?
If anything isn’t she the cutest. This is most definitely the cutest post in a long time. I can’t quite decide which diaper she looks best in. <3
How stinkin’ cute! I love all of the colors and that chubby belly! I could just love up on her all day!! My fav is def. the yellow bumGenius. I have never tried cloth diapers (we are passed that point) but I have heard of this brand before!
Those are so adorable and it sounds like they’re really great.

Oooh I LOVE that you compared all the diapers on the same kiddo!! What a great way to see fit and how long a newborn diaper can last!!
Love the vibrant colors of the cloth diapers. Very cool
We are a CDing family too so I loved this post. I started CDs only when my baby was 2 months so I really didn’t try newborn AIOS and CDs.
These are lovely and oh so colourful 🙂
we have used Grovia AIO and Thirsties NAIO ..both one size and love them. Have also used Smart bottoms AIO one size and I really feel they are over hyped.
This is awesome, so detailed! I love all in one’s and totally miss this stage with my son!
Thanks so much for this review! It’s super helpful to me as a first time mom.
