I’m already a huge fan of Easy Peasies cloth diapers. This Canadian brand produces stunning prints, and solids paired with a quality built diaper. I’ve already professed my love of the pocket diaper, and thoroughly impressed with an early version of the All-In-One diaper. It seemed only natural, the next Easy Peasies product to try was the newborn diaper for my newest baby bum.The Easy Peasies newborn All-in-One cloth diaper has one of the cutest names on the market. Known as the Little Squish, this diaper was the perfect addition to our newborn cloth diaper stash.
Little Squish Details
The Easy Peasies Little Squish is a newborn all-in-one (AIO) cloth diaper. Easy Peasies suggests the Little Squish diaper will fit the smallest of babies, and adjust up to our bigger chunkier newborns with a suggested sizing of 2-14lbs. On the outside, you find two sets of waist snaps to provide your ultimate guide in the perfect fit. Featuring criss cross waist snaps, hip snaps, and two levels of rise snaps, this diaper fits a variety of different shapes and size. It also features an umbilical stump care snap down. Lastly, from the outside, don’t forget to catch the ruffled elastic along the legs and back of the cloth diaper, with a serged finished.
Inside the Easy Peasies Little Squish, you spot a similarity with the larger One Size Easy Peasies pocket cloth diaper. It features an inner gusset along the absorbency pad. This gusset lining is great for keeping in the poops. Soft Microfleece lines the entirety of the diapers inside, and creates a pocket with a back opening. Turn the pocket inside out (back opening), and you’ll find 2 layers of microfibre complimented by an additional 2 layers of hemp. Inside the back of the pocket, there is an additional snap for snapping in the newborn booster.
Easy Peasies Little Squish on a Little Squish
When it came to using my Easy Peasies Little Squish on my latest addition, I can’t help but love this diaper.
Flipping thru my photos, I know I loved this diaper because I don’t have many photos of her in it.
I only had two Easy Peasies Little Squishes, but when you have a diaper you love, you either use it all the time, or save it for special occasions. This was a little of both. I always had one in my diaper bag for quick changes (thus the limited photos) and convince on the go.
Let’s Talk about Loving the Easy Peasies Little Squish
- Pocket Functioning AIO – if you’ve been following along this series of reviews, you know by now that love a pocket style AIO. Pocket style All in One cloth diapers are my favourite because…
- Easy to stuff with additional absorbency.
- Pockets can be turned inside out for more optimal drying.
- Pockets are easy to clean – notable if you are spraying or swishing formula poops (no tongues to de-poop)
- Other awesome pockets include the Nuggles Bittee, Funky Fluff, and Sweet Pea Newborn.
- Absorbency – The Easy Peasies Little Squish already excelled at absorbency testing early on, and in real life it stood up to the test. However, newborns pee lots and lots.
- Boosted with the additional hemp newborn insert, the Easy Peasies Little Squish was no match for longer outings and naps (should your newborn choose to nap).
- Snap In Booster – The Easy Peasies Little Squish has an optional snap in bamboo fleece booster available. This is AWESOME. Not many newborn cloth diapers come with a contingency plan for boosting absorbency.
- Snap keeps me from loosing the booster/insert.
- Snap keeps it a true all-in-one with no missing pieces on wash day.
- Booster does agitate out in my top loader and dries up quickly.
- Umbilical Care – awesome, a snap down option makes this a great option for cloth diapering from birth.
- Stay Dry – micro fleece stay dry inner keeps everyone dry and happy!
- Sizing and Fit – This diaper really grows with your newborn. I’m continually impressed with the overall size, fit and appearance on Little Miss.
- Awkwardly at 10-11lbs, I’m struggling to find just the right fit along her waist. The snaps seem to be awkwardly askew, or off by 1cm. Luckily, despite my failed sizing, we haven’t had any poop or pee leaks. So perfect fit need not be required for successful diapering.

- Waist Rise Snaps – I’m slightly impartial to the waist rise snaps. I find this helps give me optimal thigh tightness on the little baby. While I would never ever want this type of rise setting on a OS diaper, I find it really works for the newborns.
- There is a little bit of a learning curve and you’ll find most of my early pictures show a looser fit than what I know now to be a better fit with a lower snaps for tight legs to prevent leaks.
- Double Inner Gusset – This contains liquid EBF poop like awesome.
- Price Point – The Easy Peasies Little Squish is a relatively affordable newborn all in one diaper. Ringing in around $17CDN it doesn’t break the bank. Little tip from me to you, Easy Peasies go on sale, and at 15% off they ring in at under $15/each! Talk about awesome. Thats a great way to build a stash.
Let’s Talk Not So Awesome
Not every diaper can be perfect.
- Tiny Single Open Pocket – I wish it was a double open pocket OR that I could easily stuff the pocket. With my BIG HANDS, I had a hard time fitting the hemp newborn insert into the diaper. I tried a few creative ideas to get it in there, but it was more of a pain than I would like. I’d like to note that I asked my local store owner about this, and she easily stuffed the newborn booster into the diaper. This might just be a #bighandsproblem
- Ruffles – impartially, I’m not a fan of ruffles. Because newborns pee crazy lots, it can be hard to stay on top of diaper changes, and…
- ruffles + saturated diaper + diaper shirt = leaks. #itjusthappenstothebestofus
Recommendation
I recommend you definitely try this diaper. If anything so you can have beautifully crafted and designed diapers. Easy Peasies is always releasing bold beautiful prints and their solids rock.
