I can’t help but share something incredibly cute and adorable from my day yesterday. I will advise that if ‘real’ mom-lived in, un-tidy, kitchens are not your think you should check out this post instead and continue on. If you are okay with messy, unclean, disaster real kitchen, please keep reading.

This morning, I made pancakes for breakfast. I don’t run a very tight ship when it comes to my home’s tidiness. I sweep the floors daily and mop once a week. The dishwasher runs every night, but more often than not the chaos is left to be. I try, but then I don’t. I care, but then I don’t. Meet me in my happy place.
Anyways, apologies of my real kitchen aside, I want to share with you my pancake-cooking toddler. I was laying in bed nursing Little Miss and my toddler woke up and left his bed. I hear him pushing around his activity bench in the kitchen and mutter to myself about not locking the gates. As always, I shrug it off and listen intently for screaming sounds of danger.
When I finally finish nursing and laying down Little Miss, I find him eating the pancakes I left on the griddle, and playing with the other one. He gets the concept of flipping pancakes. With his dishevelled bedhead, and cute smirk, I can’t help but share his adorable-ness.
If you want to relate this blog back to diapering… he’s rocking out in his Blueberry Simplex. We only have one snap setting left to go. If you are a cloth diapering family and you know of some awesome AIO diapers for bigger fitting toddlers, let me know. At 30 plus pounds things are finally getting tight.
I can’t help but also show off Little Miss in Omaiki. Smash the Cake is an adorable colour and print celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the brand. We participate in the Brand Ambassador program with Omaiki and received this product at no cost in return for brand promotion.

What is new in your world this week? Are your toddlers driving you insane, or are you highly functioning and rocking motherhood?

I love his stool! It looks like its a great help, and pretty safe too! I bet he loved helping mama in the kitchen 🙂
I did not even notice the messy kitchen at all 🙂 just the adorable toddler being an independent little human! What a cutie 🙂 love that you cloth with both of your littles. I never did and I totally WISH we had. I am a huge advocate for them!
Where is your kitchen messy.. than what do I need to call mine;). I did a cloth diapering to my lil one & happy to know that world is accepting it more & more!
How cute! I love having our little one help in the kitchen. We are careful with the dangerous stuff, but we try to encourage him to be helpful and independent. He’s fantastic at mixing things up, cracking eggs and can even make a few things completely on his own. I love seeing kids in the kitchen!
