Is there something about girls that make them more prone to rashes? Or is it because each kid is different? Each of my cloth diaper wearing children wear the same diapers, but only one gets a mild rash. #whatgives? Whatever the case, my favourite diaper rash cream to combat the situation is Delish Naturals.

My cloth diaper stash is mostly natural fibres which mean I could use just about anything to combat a rash without an issue. That’s right, you heard it here. Almost everything will wash out of natural fibres with a solid wash routine. But, I don’t. Instead, I head down the way and visit my friendly local cloth diaper retailer – CozyBums Diapers. And I have three excellent reasons why.
3 Reasons to Skip Drug Store Diaper Rash Cream
Honestly, the first reason on my list is the only reason you need to skip drug store diaper rash cream and opt for the fantastic alternatives out there.
- Know your Cream: Delish Naturals is nothing but the good stuff and the label is simple and easy to read and understand. When I smear that on my babies bum, I know whats going on the skin.I’ll pass on the petroleum products and just go natural (when). I’ll also use it for everything else. If I’m going to put it on my little girl’s vulva, I better be okay with putting it on my lips. It makes great lip chap!
- Shop Small: Shopping at your local cloth diaper retailer, such as CozyBums Diapers, supports small business owners and that a win for our communities. Not only is Kerri at CozyBums Diapers a small business owner, but the majority of her products are also other small business owners!
- Shop Local: The best part about shopping with CozyBums is they are proud to be Canadian and continually stocks amazing CANADIAN brands. Delish Naturals is made in Kamloops, BC giving me the opportunity to source a fantastic product made on my home turf.
It’s easy.
The Low down on Delish Naturals Yum Yum Butter
I buy the Delish Naturals Yum Yum Butter. Available in two sizes, the minis are nice for trying out scents, but I just grabbed a full container of lavender. Lavender is awesome because I like to think my children might get sleepy. If Lavender isn’t your thing, check out the selection of other scents. They even have smaller containers for a full sampling.
Rarely do my kids have rashes. But sometimes, life happens. Sometimes a kid sits in poop too long. Sometimes my wash routine is off. And sometimes, it’s something they ate. When that happens, and we get a mild rash, I turn to my Delish Naturals.
I’ve tried other rash creams, but nothing quite works the same. CJ’s separated on me over time. Earth Mama was excellent but expensive. But this is just right. My container of Delish Naturals cost me $6. At my current rate of diaper rash cream use, that’ll last me solid 6-9 months. #winning. A little goes a long way with Delish Naturals.
Now, Delish Naturals Yum Yum Butter doesn’t fix everything. Some rashes are just hard and require a little more something-something – like the magical power of zinc. But for everything else, there is Yum Yum Butter.
What scent will you choose?
Don’t forget to pick up a second container for everything else. I like to have one on hand for chapped skin, chapped lips, and frozen cheeks.
I do wish Delish Naturals made a mini stick of this stuff. I’m not a huge fan of using my fingers to apply creams, but two years of motherhood has taught me to care less about rubbing ointment over my child’s bum.
