It’s time to say goodbye to the cloth diaper stash that I’ve curated over the past 8 years for the Cloth Diaper Podcast and my personal blog Simply Mom Bailey. This stash holds so many memories and parting with it has felt heavy as I remember the good, the bad, and the interesting over the years.
Last year, the transition from cloth diaper education into retail ownership was much more sudden than I expected. In January, I was still dreaming of creating a course to support others in becoming Cloth Diaper Educators, and I was thinking of rewriting my book. I really did think I would be able to do it all, but owning a retail shop has taken more time and energy than I ever imagined. It’s a non stop hustle, as we are always ordering, marketing, and engaging.
This rather abrupt ending has left a lot of loose ends, and I apologize to the bottom of my heart if you were caught up in that. I shouldn’t have taken on those promises.
Retail has provided me with just as many fulfilling experiences to support cloth diapering, and while we navigate that turmoil of the economy and ordering mistakes I do look forward to the future and the unique ways I can serve Northern BC, and Canada. I hope to build up the courage to host a local cloth diaper workshop, to expand our collection, and continue to bring in new and interesting products that support the Canadian consumer.
I even dabble with the idea of expanding into my own cloth diaper adventures, but that’s probably many many years away as product research, brand development, and marketing is a big task and if I would do something I have a way I want to make it happen.
In my stash you’ll find mostly new without tags, laundered and prepped so I could check the absorbency. There’s a few products that I shared with friends and family to try out with their kids that have been lightly used. You will be the second owner, which means no warranty, and as a result the pricing has been reduce, giving you the opportunity to save upwards of 70% on some really cool cloth diaper products from around the world.
I have opted to resell most of my stash, if you’re local I have a box of free things at the shop you can inquire about. I’ll bring it in the coming days. I have kept a few things that intrigue me because of their patents, design, and features. I’ve also kept a pile of diapers I never got to review that maybe one day I still will, because cloth diapering is very much my special interest and I want to take a few days to think about a product and share how amazing it is. These diapers will appear on the website over the coming months and years.
How will this work – All the items for sale are listed on my shop website as consignment. I will receive a portion of the sale, and the store will receive a portion of the sale. These portions will help cover things like the ongoing cost to keep my website and podcast hosted, and to process each transaction. Posting it via Nest & Sprout provides me the opportunity to offer you better shipping rates, and keep track of transactions more efficiently. You’ll also be able to shop for other products for your family from Maternity clothing to children’s clothing to toys & activities. I hope that this provides you an opportunity to meet the free shipping threshold, and really take advantage of some amazing deals.
I have taken as many photos as I felt relevant, but if you wish to see more please use the question box on the bottom of each page to send me an email and I’ll follow up via the shop email with additional information.
Diapers have been laundered using Tide. I don’t find they have a lingering scent of Tide. There are some diapers with stains and marks on them. This is from existing as a demonstration diaper. The slightly pink stains is from a fabric dye project I tried and then resulted in a lot of bleed over. Other marks I’m not sure of. I didn’t use the stash, but the stash did exist in work spaces and sometimes I sat a coffee cup down on an insert. I once had a pen explode in a box of diapers, and some diapers have residual ink stains on the material. These marks are small and have been marked.
Processing times – we typically process very quickly at Nest & Sprout, however the processing times for this sale will be slower. I want to write you a letter, I want to gather up any relevant parts and I want to ensure we get this to you in the best condition possible. Please expect a few days, and then shipping from Northern BC. We will be using Canada post to ship most products.
At this time we don’t offer shipping outside of Canada/USA due to processing costs. It’s just astronomical to ship in Canada, let alone out of Canada. If you’re international and there’s something you want, reach out and I’ll look into it.
Things to check out? Summer baby and children’s clothing (sizes 0 months to 6/7 years) has been marked down up to 50%. At Nest & Sprout, we focus on sustainable and fair trade manufacturing, and many of our brands are absolutely incredible. You’ll love them.

Note diapers are not returnable. This is a Final Sale situation. You can use Sezzle, but if you need a refund it will take time to process. Some new products do not ship to the United States due to geofencing regulations. Technically these items should be blocked from your view based on IP addresses, but they may cause cart issues at the end this includes Olli Ella and Veer.
The stash for the Cloth Diaper Podcast will be posted between 7 and 8am pacific time on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Nest & Sprout. My heart is heavy and sad, but I am excited to connect you with unique and rare products that you’ve been considering for your stash, for a friend, or to try cloth diapers all together
