I’m a bit of a traveller, and I struggle with staying put for longer than 4-6 weeks. I keep finding myself needing and wanting to escape, explore and take on new places. However, as my toddler grows from a squishy newborn to an infant, and now a full-fledged toddler, I’ve been struggling to find a place for him to sleep. The Shrunks is a Canadian brand coming to the rescue for my toddler sleep dilemmas while travelling.

It’s no secret; I’m a bedsharing parent. However, I’m kind of over it. I want my space back. In this transition, I’m now faced with the reality of “well, where does the toddler sleep?”
Hotel rooms with one bed are cheaper than two beds. Grandma’s guest room only has one bed. He could just sleep on the floor, but a designated sleep space is best for my fiercely stubborn sleeper.
He’s not once randomly fallen asleep on the floor, high chair, etcetera. He’s not going to start at Grandma’s.
Plus, who wants to sleep on the floor? Not me.
For these reasons, I began to consider my sleep space options. A pack and play isn’t going to work. Remember how I said my toddler is fiercely independent? Having never slept in a crib, he’d pretty much never sleep in any containment device that might make him feel like he can’t excape. He will escape. That’s when I remembered The Shrunks.
All About The Shrunks
I first learnt about The Shrunks on Instagram. Mostly, because as an Instagram junkie, I stumbled upon them via one of my favourite Vancouver Baby Boutiques. At the time, it wasn’t the right product for us because my child was too young. However, as a Canadian brand based out of the Vancouver-area, they’ve always been present in mind. Over the years, The Shrunks continue with to revolutionize the industry and win awards.

Goodnight Sleep with The Shrunks
Guys, the first night was a write-off.
The second night was okay.
The third night was amazing.
Everything after that was a little of everything.
This fiercely independent sleeper slept so well in the Indoor Tuckaire™ Toddler Travel Bed. He did insist on crawling into my bed, but after some redirection, and back rubs, he quickly passed out in his mattress and slept like a dream.
It’s not a sleep miracle. But I LOVE The Shrunks travel beds.
I loved how easy the Indoor Tuckaire™ Toddler Travel Bed is to use. Pull it out of the bag, plug in the pump, and go. It takes no time at all. I did have to fight with the crib sheet, but’s just my battle with sheets. It even rolled up neatly when fitting back in the bag after our visit.
I loved how the Indoor Tuckaire™ Toddler Travel Bed did not squeak. I loved how the bedrails kept him from rolling off the bed. The Indoor Tuckaire™ Toddler Travel Bed was the best fit for my travelling family, and I can’t wait to use it again.
My Recommendation?
You need it. If you’re traveling this holiday season, its a no brainer. The Shrunks makes any tript to visit family that much easier. This easy to transport bed is hassle free, and stress free way to celebrate the holidays. I look forward to our next trip knowing I have somewhere for him to sleep.

That looks like a fabulous bed! I love that it’s toddler sized so it can fit in a compact space and provides a comfortable spot for littles while traveling!

This would solve a lot of problems for our family. We go camping a lot, and my youngest has been sleeping in a pack n play because he’s too small for the bunk beds. This would easily fit on the floor, and everyone would have a good nights sleep! Wonderful!

I love this blog! I am with you. A mom with a toddler who travels often. He has never slept in a pack n’ play and I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed with my boy always being in the bed with us. I am going to look into this as when we travel he sleeps in our bed and I am over it as well. He is very independent so he needs to feel like a “big” boy all the time. I thin k you saved me from some pointless arguments in the future

This would be fantastic for camping or at a cabin for traveling. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a genius idea!! My 2 year old has been in a full size bottom bunk since June, but my older 2 had toddler beds and this would have been SO useful for them!

This looks awesome! We don’t travel a lot, but when we do, I usually get all three boys climbing in my bed. This would be perfect. Also for those nights when they sneak in my room in the middle of the night!

These types of travel beds are great, we’ve had something similar for years. Our grown children have used them when traveling. And our grand children still use them occasion even for just lying in the living room floor while watching TV.

This is a really great option for little guys. I think my boys would be happy to have somewhere consistent no matter where they go. Consistency is so key for my two boys!
Bailey says
The consistency is whats really going to work for my tyke.
