NAIO?
What does NAIO mean?
If you’re not a cloth diaper consumer, like me, you probably have zero clues about that acronym, but that is the acronym of a very popular, pretty awesome, made in the USA, all in one cloth diaper.

The Thirsties NAIO is the Thirsties one size natural all in one. This cloth diaper was sorta recently released and provides an alternative to their microfibre AIO cloth diaper.
Thirsties NAIO
The Thirstie’s NAIO is a mighty thirsty diaper. This one size cloth diaper is suitable for babies sized 8-40lbs and features a double waist snap (or hook and loop), and a three rise settings with three snaps across.

Exterior of the Thirsties NAIO is TPU laminate, and on the inside you’ll find 11 layers of absorbency. 3 layers of organic cotton line the diaper, with a double tongue insert of a hemp/cotton blend composing of the remaining 8 layers. Both absorbent tongues are attached to the front of the diaper and lay across the middle to the back of the diaper as shown.

Naturally Every day with Thirsties NAIO
Thirsties NAIO isn’t my favourite all in one cloth diaper, but it’s not a diaper I despise. The Thirsties brand is one I think very highly of, and all of their products are exceptionally made. I really do enjoy owning it and that’s why I’m going to tell you all about it.
- Front Attached Tongues are kind of a pain because they just are kind of awkward to manoeuvre during a diaper change.
- Front Tongues are awesome because all the absorbency is at the front for little boys, and they are easy to boost, but a little bit of a challenge if you have a little girl who wets in the back (#likeme).

- Just Regular Elastic Legs means no wicking, tucking or turning.
- Compared to other all in one diaper like the bumGenius Elemental or Blueberry Simplex, the Thirsties NAIO is just a regular seam like you’d find in a pocket diaper. Therefore, you don’t need to make sure the material is tucked in.

- Natural Fibre Goodness: I’m pretty anti-microfibre which means this amazing combo of cotton and hemp is always perfect for my kids.
- This does mean it stains. Stains are life, don’t be scared, but just know it comes with the territory.
- This also means, I’ve noticed the diaper shows wear and tear from a year or more of use. Typically users complain that the stitching and small holes begin to appear where the tongues attach at the top. This is true for me, additinoal wearing of the cotton along the seams of the leg is also evident.
- Awesome Absorbency: I would rank the Thirsties natural all in one cloth diaper as one of the more absorbent all in one cloth diapers on the market.
- It’s not amazing, and if you have a heavy wetter, then it might not be the best choice for you, but it can easily be boosted with any of the Thirsties boosters.
- Long Lasting Fit: a smaller fit in real life compared to the Thirsties Pocket cloth diaper, this diaper does fit just to 40 pounds. My toddler is on the last snaps as he is with most of our all in one stash.

Recommendation of the Thirsties NAIO
Personally, I prefer the bumGenius Elemental, but if you absolutely love a print or colour Thirsties releases and you love all in one cloth diapers, then, of course, this is a GREAT cloth diaper to try and own.
Just because one cloth diaper isn’t my favourite, doesn’t mean it wont be yours.
Do I think this is a quality cloth diaper? Yes. Yes I do.
Do I think you should buy this cloth diaper? Maybe, because I think all cloth diapers are worth a try and this might be the best one for you.
