Two weeks later, I finally know more and understand what I broke. Honestly, care via voicemail isn’t the best relay of information
I have a Posterior malleolar fracture, a small vertical fracture of the distal end of the tibia. All I remember the er doc saying was it was a rare isolated fracture on the back of my ankle.
Which according to google is true. It’s not often people break just this tiny part of their leg bone. Awesome.
I was supposed to be trying to put weight on it to see if the muscle would pull the little sliver out of place, but alas weight bearing was terrifying tho I did try a few times.
I’m now hobbling around the house trying to out a little weight on my foot in an air cast. I’ll probably stick with the scooter to and from work till things get easier just because it’s a long ass walk.
And I had much relief sleeping without my air cast last night. It’s so heavy. I still can’t drive and I’m still unsure my moms flight will take off on Christmas Day.
I kinda just want my mommy right now. The house is chaos. The vegetables are forgotten and sometimes you need your mom.
