The thing about being a millennial woman in 2023 is that as young people we were told we could do it all – we would be that generation of women breaking glass ceilings AND raising little people.
So I find myself grieving that vision more often than I care to admit.
I had such dreams of being a mom and a lawyer, of creating significant change and being patient with my kids – all of which feels too crumble each day.

Childcare for 5-12 year olds is a massive gap in our communities that I wish we talked about more – we focus so heavily on supporting families in 3-5 years, and then they go to kindergarten and it’s like support rug is pulled out from under you.
